Band: Cräne
From: Montreal, Québec
Their formation story:
(Shirley, vocals): "Frank (drums) and JP (guitar) are longtime friends who had talked about starting a project together for years. About three years ago, they finally began jamming for fun, but with the goal of eventually turning it into something concrete.
"The pair slowly developed their sound without limiting themselves to one particular style or trying to fit into a specific mold. After a few unsuccessful attempts to find a bassist and vocalist, Wawa joined the still-unnamed lineup.
"Songs continued piling up, but the band still needed someone on vocals. A few months later, Wawa messaged me, simply asking, 'Hey, wanna sing in a punk band?' I replied, 'Fuck yeah.' I joined the group about a year ago, and we recorded our demo in December."
Their sound in their own words:
"Our style can be described as a mix of old-school hardcore with a modern twist and some garage rock elements."
Latest release info:
"This is actually our very first release! It's eight tracks and is available on cassette and Bandcamp."
Future plans:
"We're working on a new album that should be ready at the beginning of 2027."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Béton Armé, Faze, Mulch, and Enfants Sauvages."
