Band: Judgement Day
From: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Their formation story:
(Nikki, vocals): "I was still in school at the time and was listening to music when Backtrack came on. I texted Drayden (drummer) and asked if he wanted to do a Backtrack-type band, and everything slowly fell into place."
Their sound in their own words:
"Our main inspirations are all the groovy stuff: Backtrack, No Warning, Trapped Under Ice, Cold World, and Outburst."
Latest release info:
"We wrote so much stuff for this demo—probably 10 unfinished songs—and picked our four favorites. I wanted to have a feature on one of the songs. I'm from Boyertown, so I asked Matt Karll from Gridiron, and he was so down. I'm really happy to have that connection to my hometown on this demo. We recorded with our friend Amber, and it was a great time."
Future plans:
"We're going to start writing again shortly. We plan on putting out a six-song EP and really want to focus on the parts we got away from on our demo. We want the EP to be something really dope—we just don't want to rush it."
What other bands from their region should we check out?
"Fever, Suicide Eyes, Shot Out, Negative Force, Fool's Game, Flip the Switch, Who Remembers, Spoil, Our Lady of Burning Thorns, Commodore, Still Won't Break, and Swordzman."
CDs and cassettes of the demo will be available soon via Hold It Down.
