Band: xSENTRYx
From: Texas
Their formation story:
“When we formed, we knew our goal was to fill a gap in vegan straight edge representation. There hasn't been much vegan/XVX representation in Texas in general (shout out to xGnapenstobx/Wings of Kynareth, Band of Mercy, and xConsumetosatisfyx).
“We have a lot of friends who have gone vegan, straight edge, or both, and we wanted to create a vehicle to amplify that message.”
Their sound in their own words:
“When writing, we took a lot of inspiration from bands like Ecostrike, Envision, Strife, and Force of Denial.”
Latest release info:
“Our release, ...For the Animals, features four tracks covering a range of topics, including veganism, straight edge, unity, anti-fascism, and anti-capitalism.”
Future plans:
“We have some plans on the horizon, but nothing we can disclose just yet. All we can say is that we're working on new music and hoping to do a split.
“Our future goals include organizing fundraisers, making more zines, and taking a more in-your-face approach to topics surrounding animal liberation.”
What other bands from your region should we check out?
“Check out xMERCYx, Born to Suffer, Weight Class, and Growing Minority.”
