New year, new resolutions, new goals… but what about new bangers? Let’s be glad that Bare Minimum is here to help us with that.
Hailing from the ever-growing Oxnard, California scene, the quintet have just released their newest EP, Two Betrayals, through the label Room Eleven Records.
Following up their debut release, Demo 2023, the EP contains 4 new songs with featured guests performances from their hometown peers, Mike Montoya (Omega Point) and Troy Sharp (Steel Toe):
Featuring sick cover art by Frankie (Savior Complex), the EP was recorded at Room Eleven in Oxnard by Vincent Amador (Dead Heat) and Mixed/Mastered by Anthony Burke (Magnitude, Envision), the record is filled with heavy mosh parts, influenced by bands such as Terror Ave. and Next Step Up.
When asked about the local Oxnard hardcore scene, the Bare Minimum dudes say:
“The 805 scene is alive and well. VCHC holding it down with shows. CFF, The Mystery Shop, Rapid Skate Shop for venues and plenty of Great bands: Detach, Ceramik, Steel Toe, Konspiracy, Watch You Fall, Disillusion, Omega Point, and of course Dead Heat and Torena, just to name a few."
Be on the lookout for Bare Minimum, as they’re aiming to get out of town as much as possible this year in support of their new material.
