Eyes of Tomorrow come out of Germany's Ruhr Valley, with members who have spent years in hardcore bands like Spawn, Shaft, Circle of Death, and Still Screaming. Their sound draws on NYHC and is shaped by long involvement in the European underground.

Although the lineup has evolved since the band first formed, vocalist Chris says the foundation has always been rooted in longtime friendships. "Adam and Dom started the band together," he tells No Echo. "Both of them also played together before in a band called Blood of God, then brought in me, Chris. Adam and I have known each other for what feels like an eternity. We both had bands in the '90s that played together a lot, and we had a band together in the early 2000s."

Drummer Mirko joined after his time in Forever Young Viktoria, adding to the band's lineup. When their previous guitarists left, Jens and Götz came in, bringing new energy and fitting in well with the group.

Eyes of Tomorrow's music is rooted in old-school hardcore, with a clear '90s influence. While their sound references the past, the band aims to keep it current and direct.

The band's latest album, After All, was recorded in their rehearsal space in 2024 and mixed and mastered by Christian Bloche, a longtime collaborator. The songs draw from personal experience and current events.

"The topics are diverse," he says. "They concern all the things that have affected us over the past few years—both globally and personally. We wanted to create a worthy successor to our debut, Settle for More—and I think we succeeded."

With decades in hardcore, Eyes of Tomorrow have seen the European scene shift. Mirko sees a new wave of activity, driven by bands taking on the DIY approach. "Nowadays, I feel the whole thing is like a second spring, with the old veterans making a fresh start," he says. "There are some promoters doing solid work, but primarily it is the bands themselves—working in true DIY fashion—who are organizing concerts and small tours. That is the best part."

Eyes of Tomorrow have built connections with bands across Europe, including To the Wire, Ground 2 A, Stay Free, Strength, Perfect Sky, and Vienna's Alive Inside, all contributing to the ongoing energy in the scene.

The new record features guest appearances from Chris of To the Wire on "Can't Take It" and Roger Miret of Agnostic Front on "Freaks and Friends." These collaborations underline the band's ties to both the European and New York hardcore scenes.
