The last time Schedule 1 appeared on No Echo was 2022, around the time of their self-titled EP. The British Columbia-based outfit's post-punk sound is fused with elements of new wave and post-hardcore and should appeal to fans of bands like Home Front and Spiritual Cramp.
Schedule 1 released their debut full-length album, Crucible, earlier this year and they've just dropped a music video for a track from it called "Travesty." Directed by Sean Shaul, the clip filmed on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish and Halkomelem-speaking peoples:
Schedule 1 vocalist Grant shared the following about the track's lyrics:
"'Travesty' explores the tension of being trapped in a safe situation that isn’t entirely fulfilling. It’s about questioning whether you should have taken a risk to break out, or if circumstances beyond your control have left you confined. As Canadians, we often look at our neighbours to the south with a mix of fear and admiration. Musically and lyrically, the song nods to some Canadian acts who faced difficulty being heard outside of our borders but ultimately carried this with notoriety."

Schedule 1 will heading out on a European tour in a few days, so check out the dates below.
Crucible is out now via Council Records (US) and Mendeku Diskak (EU buy link).
