With their self-titled sophomore album dropping next month, Pain of Truth have just released a menacing new single, "Stranded."
Produced by Will Putney (Knocked Loose, Poison the Well), the song doubles down on the Long Island band's metallic hardcore roots. The Pain of Truth album arrives after several years of relentless touring in support of the band's 2023 debut Not Through Blood, as well as an EP and two splits.
The single's release is accompanied by a live performance video, captured by Theo Sicurella with additional footage from Danny Dog Pound. The guy launching himself into the crowd like he's diving into a swimming pool is a thing of beauty:
Alongside the new single, Pain of Truth have mapped out a North American headlining tour that kicks off October 14 in Montreal and wraps up November 21 with a no-barricade hometown show at Brooklyn Steel.
The supporting lineup shifts across the run, bringing in bands like Madball, 100 Demons, Killing Time, Contention, Fatal Realm, Mizery, and Rotting Out.
Before hitting the road, Pain of Truth are set to play a string of festivals this fall, including Bloodaxe Festival in Japan, Furnace Fest, Sick New World, Flyover Fest, and Vans Warped Tour.
