Chicago hardcore veterans Racetraitor have released a new EP, Nobody, Son of Nobody, today (August 14) through Another City Records.
Arriving on the heels of their 2023 full-length, Creation and the Timeless Order of Things, the EP finds Racetraitor doubling down on their signature blend of metallic hardcore and urgent political commentary. The record also features guest vocals from Dennis Lyxzén (Refused), Tim Kinsella (Cursive), and Stan Liszewski (Terminal Nation), among other musicians.
True to form, Racetraitor are using the EP as a platform for action: proceeds from Nobody, Son of Nobody will go to the Middle East Children's Alliance, supporting humanitarian work in Gaza, and the Miaan Group, which offers digital security support to human rights defenders in Iran.
The current Racetraitor lineup is comprised of Daniel Binaei, Andy Hurley (SECT, Fall Out Boy), bassist R. Brent Decker, vocalist Mani Mostofi, guitarist Elliot Secrist, percussionist/keyboardist Zak Holochwost (LIFES, Conquest for Death), and Michael Miczek (Broken Hope, Atlas Moth, Earth Burner) handles keyboards and subs for Hurley when needed.
